C3 Fan Blade date codes

Can someone explain date codes on a C3 fan blade # 3955182. Lots of discussion on TDB for this subject but no clear understanding and JG doesn't go into any detail... Between fan blades and fan clutches, not sure what is harder to explain on date coding and correctness for specific applications....

Normal coding is Alpha/Numeric the letter A=January B=February etc. and a 2 digit year 70, 71 etc. Is what I have viewed but others may know of another format.

From the P/N you have posted we are talking about your 1970 car and not the 1971. The P/N you listed is for a 1970 setup.

Correct, talking about the 70..... It is the Schweitzer 7 blade fan that has a date code of "19895" so could be the date "95" is last in the sequence with it being the "198th" day vs. the year is first as others have indicated.... Maybe the date sequence changed in the 90's somewhere before they quit making them....
