Looking for recommendations on GREEN color for my up coming paint job

Team - Got my car to the repair shop. Getting a new top surround. Original color is 1971 Green (forgot the actual name). Current color is green but not original. I am interested in painting it an Awesome deep green color. Any recommendations?

In 1971 I removed the pain from my 1967 coupe (goodwood green) and painted it another 1967 GM green that was on Cads. It was "tropic green firemist", it was almost the same but with the addition of gold metalic with the silver metalic.

I am back to the stock color now but really loved the other.

If you don't want to go the original color, Brands Hatch Green, and I don't blame you, look at 1970 Chevelle Forest Green. It is very dark with lots of metallic. My LS6 Chevelle was that color and although I'm not particularly fond of any green, that one was beautiful.

I know someone with a Brands hatch Green car, freshly painted a few years ago, looks real nice to me. It's done in BC/CC though. He may post a pic or two if he sees this thread.

If you're going to stick with green I'd try and get close to your original color.
That can be a bit of a process, and be careful because it's quite easy with green to get a bit too much or too large of a metallic, resulting in the "bass boat" effect.

There's a green car that has been through judging at a few events I've seen, and the bass boating is notable.

The color Brands Hatch Green is a 983 code and I believe the color to be a one year only in 71. It is my understanding that John Greenwood won a race at Brands Hatch England and they named the color (colour) after that track. See attached pictures. There is metallic in the paint that is apparent in the sun and darker in the shade.... it is a chameleon in different light. But beware, some say Corvettes should only be red so expect dissent.

For fun: back in 74-78, I knew a few corvette guys and 1 had a '71 454 in green and the other guys called it snot green!

Brands Hatch Green is lovely. The love of my life has a Brands Hatch convertible with saddle leather. Both are beautiful - the owner and the 71.

The only new Corvette I ever owned was a 71 that I ordered in Brands Hatch Green. The dealer notified me that there would be a wait for that color, but he had a Sunflower Yellow coming in with all the options I had wanted. Guess which way I went. I really loved the Sunflower Yellow, but would have been happy with the green as well.
