Fire Extinguisher Storage / Mounting During Judging

In the interest of safety, I was thinking of installing a 2.5 lb fire extinguisher in my '67 using a Brey-Krause seat mount and quick release (very professional stainless steel mounting system that attaches to the two front seat mount bolts). Would this be a problem leaving this in for Top Flight judging (points issue)? Thank you - Jeff Cornwell

Jeff, I do not think the mounting of the extinguisher is a issue as long as you have one. Where you are mounting the extinguisher can the judges see the carpet cut-out for the seat frames?

yes, you will "possibly" lose points for the mounting hardware ifg left on the car for judging - personally, I just have the fire extinguisher in the original box and carry it in the footwell - then take it out and place behind the left rear tire for judging

now, the 2010 ZR1 is a different horse! have full-car fire suppression system in that! (VBG)
