Re: Conical Bumper For 1995 Console
Jim, I believe Tom has shown the correct front bumper, like the one shown in my above pictures. The rear bumper is taller, narrower, and has no hole in the center.- Top

Re: Conical Bumper For 1995 Console
The particular front bumper required is dependent on the size of the hole. That's why I asked about the size but I've yet to receive any response to that request. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Conical Bumper For 1995 Console
Joe, the manual shows a 95 front bumper (which the OP is asking about), that appears identical to the one in my pictures, at least the head does. And both of those look very similar to Tom's, although of course I have no scale for Tom's. Do you mean the little shaft could be a different size?- Top

I don't know that all 95's or 96's were the same with respect to this bumper. It's possible they were but it's also possible they were not. It is most likely they were all the type you pictured. Regardless, the size of the hole is the definitive determiner of which bumper was originally used. The two possible FRONT bumpers are configured completely different. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Yes, this is a 5.5 mm hole. It works with either the "tall conical" bumper or the bumper you pictured. However, I believe the tall conical bumper was only used for the rear bumper. I believe the bumper you pictured was used for the forward position for all 95-96, if not earlier.
My 1992 has the "short conical" bumper at the forward position. The "short conical" bumper uses a 3 mm hole.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
