Top Surround Replacement - And so it begins

Hello team. Well, work started on my vette. Replacing the Top Surround. Of course, you know how it goes.....Well as-long-as you are doing the top surround, you might as well do.........At the end of the day, it will be awesome. The Vette Smith in Miami doing the work and working with Hagerty's. Both great so far. I will keep pics posted as the progress continues.

Why would you cut it off at the rear? Should just go ahead and replace it all the way to the door.

For one thing if the fenders are not bonded any better than some I have seen, they would probably fall off.

Hi Guys - this is just the beginning. The top surround (part of it) was cut out so the body shop could see what damage there was underneeth. Parts are all on order and the old top surround (whats left of it now) will be removed and the new NOS one will be put on. Work in progress.

New Pictures of the Vette. Went to the Vette Smith where my care is being repaired. Looks GREAT. Lots of progress. Had plenty of mechanical repairs done and top surround coming soon. Had about 5 coats of paint on it. Above the original Brands Hatch Green had a blue, yellow and an orange. Wow. Check out the pictures of the progress.
