For the first time in three Flight-judging meets, my car got dinged for not having an ignition capacitor. I didn't know such a thing existed until the mechanical team judge pointed it out to me at the Texas Chapter meet two weeks ago.
Acording to the 1965 JG, this capacitor is "...a cylindrical aluminum capacitor with an integral mounting tab which is attached to the right ignition shield support with a pan-head Phillips screw. A black wire exits the end of the capacitor and connects to the positive terminal of the coil. The capacitor end is sealed with an orange fiber seal."
So, I am in the market for a NOS unit or a like-new used one.
