How are the dash pads and frames secured to the console/tunnel?

I just had the dash and pads replaced on the '66. The replacements are not secured were they meet the console and transmission tunnel. The entire lower part of the dash moves quite freely. The original dash and pads did not move. Obviously, something is missing from the new installation. How are the lower pads and dash held in place? What are the part numbers for the attaching hardware?

    Thanks

Ther is a bar at the lower edge of the IP where it meets the trans tunnel (or is supposed to be) It is glued to the floor tunnel at the tans hump. Should see evidence of where it was located there.

This bar is shaped like a square cornered U but with the bottom longer than the ends.It is bonded to both the IP and the console hump.

        Thanks Bill and Russ:

There is a bump, the width of the lower dash, on the transmission tunnel. The lower dash is about 3/16" in front of the bump. I can push the lower dash forward to touch the bump. What is the simplest way to bond the lower dash to the bump? Pushing the dash toward the front of the car leaves a 3/16" gap between the console and the lower dash. Any ideas to address this issue.

        Thanks in advance
        Karl

From your description, you are looking at about the correct place. Look at your AIM, Sheet A9 view A on the LH side shows the piece I believe you are missing, a "U" shaped part that is bonded to the tunnel and then bonds to the sides of the lower dash on the inside. Part number 3797353, Strip, Bonding, give a look.
