    Proper Carpet Installation on 67

    Looking for confirmation that the drivers side carpet should go behind (underneath) the firewall insulation. There is a stepped portion at the bottom of the insulation that I believe goes over the carpet. Attached is a pic from another post from Kirk McHugh which shows the carpet under the insulation. It sure looks right. Hope Kirk doesn't mind me using his picture as a reference. Want to do it right the first time.

      My original was tucked under. (May car, convertible, tan carpet)

              Dereck..Carpet is correct, but the dimmer grommet is upside down..Bill

                          Does anyone have an idea where to buy a 67 saddle colored dimmer grommet? All I've seen for sale are black and they want you to paint it saddle. Been looking for a while.

                                  Well heck my problems are over. I wanted to ask since I've seen carpeting sets for sale with color-coded grommets and other high wear surfaces. Thanks John I'll get one and tuck my carpet under the firewall insulation board while I'm at it.

                                      Nope, you're more than welcome to use the pic. Changed the grommet to correct orientation back after pic was first posted!
