    Le Mans 2012

Corvette is doing well, currently 1st and 4rd in the GPE Pro class (#27 and #30 overall)!!!

GO-GO-GO Corvette!!! Make us proud (again)!!!

Only 19 hours and 36 minutes to go, it is getting dark in France...

      24 Hour lemans

Have been watching a little of the 24 hour race at lemans. I am a little confused. The cars Audi and Toyota are racing do not look like real street cars. They no doubt are not cars the public can buy. The Porsches and the Corvettes do look like street cars heavely modified. Am I correct or are the Corvettes also cars that are build by hand from tube frame parts like Nascar cars just made to look like a Corvette?

Walter.. there are different classes of cars all racing at the same time. The Audis and Toyotas are in a different class.

        Check out this link

then in the filter area underneath the live feed, select GTE PRO or GTE AM and it will just show you the race stats for the Corvette classes.

Looks like the #74 Car has had some issues overnight... lost wheel, and tons of pit time. the #73 car is about 6 laps behind the leader, but still a lot more race to go.

The GTE AM class has a real dogfight between Porshe and Corvette

          Re: 24 Hour lemans

#74 team left a wheel nut off and lost a rear wheel right out of the pits. One lap arond the course on three wheels doesn't do the rear suspension much good. Yes, the one year old cars did much better.

Too bad the Toyota Hybrid team's effort went flying (literally). They looked equal to the Audi's early on.

Once again the older Corvettes win the day.
