I started my 69 350 after a couple of weeks of sitting and the engine races, throttle wide open. All the external linkages look fine and the gas pedal isn't sticking. Before I begin tearing into it is there something obvious to check? Car ran fine last time I drove it a couple of weeks ago.

Re: carburetor problem
Yes. That was it. I haven't driven it much lately and it's been very humid. I tapped them down and went for a long drive on the interstate and now it seems fine. Thanks very much.- Top
