    Re: C2 Head Question

    All,

I appreciate all of the information and replies. From the experience here:

    1. Is my April built car in this case considered a "late" build per the JG?

    2. Is there value in keeping and preserving the 461/462 configuration I have now?

    3. I have been offered graciously by a member here, a dated set of 3890462 heads dated close to my engine assembly date, and I am inclined to take them based on the advise above. I do want to maintain "typical" factory configuration.

Keep this in mind: the casting numbers on the heads are not judged and there is no way that anyone can see them with the valve covers installed on the car. From a configuration perspective, there's no discernable difference between the heads you have on the car now and the ones you have available to purchase.
