wiring probelms 1970 350/350 4 speed with air

    Hi,

I am working on the wiring in the dash and under the hood. I need the answers to these questions please:

    1. The water temp does not work and I need to identify some wires. There is a green wire coming from the alternator area, I think it is the warter temp wire? It was cut off and has no clip.

    2. There is also a wire that has a harder black rubber coating with a hard rubber connector at the end. I do not know what it goes to?

    3. The horn relay wiring, there are several red wires and I could use a picture of how they are connected?

    Thanks for the help,

    Rich Harris

Green wire is definitely temp, usually has a braided loom over it. Don't have all the prints for a '70, never owned one, but based on '68 print, and the '70 AIM, (section 12) I'd think the Black with hard coating is the #142 circuit, connects on the LH side, Likely to the TCS switch on the trans. Horn relay connection should be in the AIM, Sheet A6 in UPC 12, but RED is not a color described, at least in my AIM. It might help if you had some pictures of the wiring bits you are trying to locate, it would help me in finding the correct place to look at the wiring print.
