1979 L48 Engine Valve lifters ????

Hi All,

What are the Correct Valve Lifters fo rmy L48 Please.

I have found NOS Lifters #5232720, but one has H66 and others have H62 Written in the Auction. ???

One are for Heavy Duty ,Stamped H66 ,others are for Standard, Stamped H66 ?????

Who can Help Please.

GM #5232720 are the correct lifters. Why the difference in stampings, I do not know. However, assuming that all the lifters are 5232720 it does not matter what they are stamped. Of course, there's always the possibility that someone switched lifters in the boxes.

Upon further checking, I find that the 5232720 are also known as Delco HL66. Any stamped HL62 are GM #5232750. The latter were never cataloged for a Corvette application.
