It's in the slides - a rule for selecting the proper vacuum advance control (VAC) to match the engine's maniflold vacuum characteristics. The VAC should provide full advance at no less than 2" Hg. less than idle vacuum - measured in neutral for manuals and Drive for automatics.

For example, if the engine idles at 14" it should have a 12" VAC.

I would gladly chip in an extra couple bucks a year, so the NCRS could hire someone to document this kind of seminar. These seminars are part of our history, and in my opinion, part of the history of the Corvette. There are usually some great stories told, some of which contribute to the legend and mystique that are one of the reasons that someone my age, who wasn't born until '67, has one of these cars. I don't mean to go off on a tangent, but I really think we're losing an oportunity, here.
I am glad I was on this board to follow some of Dale Pearman's posts, and I'd love to see him talk about one of the many subjects in a video.

Just to provide a little history:
There was a time when John Amgwert was charged with making videos of some of the National convention seminars. This happened when we celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Small block (would have been 1986) and we had a presentation by one of the engineers who designed the small block -- Denny (or Danny) Davis, and John videoed (a new technology back then) the event. NCRS bought, at what was then great expense, the equipment to do that.

George, you idea is not new, but technology has moved on.
