paint shade (low or medium gloss) for '63 Spare Tire tub, tray and 'V' strap?

My '63 convertable was purchased w/o a spare tire carrier, which I just purchased: Original Tub, exact replica Tray and 'V' stap.

    Would like to know:

.....what paint shade to use: (low or medium gloss) for Spare Tire tub, tray and 'V' strap?

.....what pitfals might I expect when installing?

    thank you, Colin Brodie 51038

I don't know 63s real well but if they are the same as later C2s then the tub and the lid aren't painted. V bar is semi gloss black with out the rivets painted.

      Colin,

Where did you find an exact replica V-strap? The reproduction that was available as of a year or so ago was definitely different from my original '67 V-strap, which has been touring the north American continent for the last couple of years now, trying to find its way back home.
