Are there any differences that are noticable to a judge between original and repro grill teeth? I have an very nice set of originals that I would consider having rechromed if there are differences and yes I know that it would be extremely expensive.

It would be expensive to rechrome, but IMO the biggest issue would be that in the buffing process, the shop would likely remove ALL of the sharp edges of the teeth and effectively RUIN them. I have had some items rechromed in the past, and this is what happened. All of the detail was buffed away.
Good reproduction teeth made in USA from a known supplier is the way to go.

The repro I have (USA made) is shallower than the originals and I can see it when it is installed.- Top

Corvette Specialties of Maryland West sells excellent repros. They weigh two ounces less per tooth than originals. I received no deduct with two of them mixed with originals. As Richard stated, you do not want the originals to go thru replating process. Sharp edges on noses will be rounded off during polishing step.- Top

I second what Joe said. I bought a set from Corvette Specialties of Maryland. They look to be very good quality and the fit and finish is very good.Don Harris
