Yessir! all GM carlines. On some lines they were a "delete option" meaning the customer had the option of deleting for a credit. In the auto shop at GMI in the mid-60's we had a crashed car with a nice hle in the windshield, and very few miles on it. Window sticker still in place and "seatbelt Delete" I think the credit was about $20

My understanding is that they could be dealer installed in 1957, the first year of use. How about in 58, were they standard?

Yes - seat belts were standard equipment in Corvettes starting in 1958.
