    63 convertible top question

I installed my Al konch top and have a question reguarding the stainless steel tips. the ones I removed from the top had no flanges and the ones from Al Knoch had flanges on them, for judging reasons which ones are the correct ones.

Ed, believe the 63/64 are the same - so no flange. Picture is poor however it shows the correct distance and no flange and yes its the original. Need some better pictures so yet another job on my list.

      Original tops have both.

I believe their was a post not long ago and it was mentioned his mid year got nicked for flanged spear tips. I have an original 66 top with original material, it has tips with no flange. The post I mentioned above stated make sure you order from Al knock the Kennedy patern with 3/8 windshield windlace and paper cleaning instruction tag instead of cloth tag, also mentioned the incorrect flanged spear tips.

Cant believe everything a judge tells ya, while most you see don't have flanges, I have seen originals with them.

This one in my collection, Original dated 3-66.

My top was not a original but appeared to be a correct sytle replacement, the Al Knoch top is the J.K. replacement with the correct windlace and paper tag.So I will try the none flanged tip sense the replacement top had a 79 date and would think that the tips may have been original.
