This is to do with my 1960 project. I'm installing the harness under the dash and can't quit figure out the routing. I have the AIM and I also have some good pictures from the '1958-60Corvette Restoration Handbook', but I still can't quit figure out how to route the cluster harness and the center console (clock and heater wires) in relation to all the other stuff under the dash, e.g. speedo cable, tach cable, wiper transmission cables, wiper control cable, defroster outlets, etc.
If I try to install the harness from the fuse block routing up and under the first clip that is under the windshield bolt (that's how the AIM page 12 - 11.00 shows it), the wires, e.g. headlight switch wires, will not reach the switch.
I know that the judges look for the brass ties on the harness per the AIM and the plastic tie around the turn signal wiring and the wiper motor control cable, but do they also look for "correct" under dash wire routing? If it's not something that is judged, then I'll route the cable so that everything connects and there is no interference to other things under the dash.
Anyone got any picture of these areas that show routing of the harness?
Thanks,
Don
