    Differential Code?

    Hi all,

I have a differential dated J 18 7. The ratio code is AP for a 411, but the number after it is is 1024. What does the 1024 signify? I also have a 1960 differential with a 1 11 after the ratio code.

    Thanks,

    Bob

"1024" represents the assembly date code which decodes to 10th month, 24th day. This fits nicely with your cast date code of October 18, 1967

"111" for the 1960 differential decodes to an assembly date of 1st month, 11th day (January 11).
