Engine assembly stamp

Regarding 1958 and 1959 Corvettes, did GM use a capital I for the number 1 in the engine assembly stamp? If anyone has a pic an original stamped '58 or '59 block with the number 1 in it I would like to see it. Thanks!

not a 58, it is a 519 block cast J 21 8, november 11 ass. date, it is a mere passenger car, powerglide, so i'm guessing it is an original stamp.sorry about the confusion, it was very hot and dark in the back of my shop.

That make since. I haven't seen such a date, It threw me a curve ball.

The engine plants were directed by Engineering in 1957 to use the "I" character instead of the "1" character for steel-stamping the block pad.
