        Nope, my only involvement is to put my guy in touch with the sellers. I'm not even working on the car.

          Gary,
          "Stirring the pot " question about stamping the block was not meant for you, but for person looking for a correctly dated replacement block. You know it's OK with NCRS if it "appears " like it might have been factory.

            Yes I know what you mean, I really don't know what his plan is regarding stamping. As we know the only original parts on a vette were the ones that left St Louis at the time.

            I am very careful dealing with numbers on these cars. One example is when I was looking for date correct '66 diff housing. I contacted a lot of the major players and one in CA said he had one. I called him to confirm and he had the correct stamping but the casting was a '68, at which time he told me all he had to do was dremel the 8 into 6. I declined and found a housing that was correct elsewhere.
