Starting motor GM #1108365 was used for 1968-75 Chevrolet 4 and 6 cylinder engines. Yours was manufactured on October 31, 1968 and was probably originally installed on a 1969 Chevrolet. Bear in mind, though, that the starter may have been completely reconfigured by a commercial rebuilder and all that remains of the original starter is the frame (the part with the numbers stamped on it).

thanks for your time and input...yes i did purchase as a rebuilt, so im quite sure you are correct...
