A pic of the Ankenbrandt's 1969 convertible at Altoona. I think this car is approximately 3000 numbers earlier than the earliest known N14 equipped 69...and it is documented. You learn everyday in this hobby. A beautiful car, by the way.

So what is the earliest known N14 VIN in 1969 ? Not being a C3 person , I see (per Zone Newsletter, dated Aug 20th) that plant "orders for N14 should not be submitted until November placements are due".
I have a picture of me beside a red '69 with N14 taken at a Montreal Auto show (Place Bonaventure) in Jan of '69. Was this well after cars began to be built with this option ? -

I believe, up to this point, number 9,320 is regarded as the the earliest known. Looks like that will change. I believe, but am not sure, that this car is in the 6,000 range.KramdenComment

Previous "earliest" was my '69 - 9320 or thereabouts. Oh well, can't be #1 forever
. Unfortunately by the time I got the car someone had replaced the original side pipes with header side pipes.
