I drove my '66 427/425 roadster about 20 miles tonight. Ran great. No problems at all. Parked it for 15 minutes. Got back in and it started, then stalled. Put it in reverse and backed out of driveway and stalled again. Drove about 1/2 mile and was at a light and stalled again. The car was sluggish and would not idle for more than a few seconds at every stop sign but would restart at the touch of the key and would run fantastic when moving. This problem seems to develop after things get hot, yet engine always runs at normal operating temp. The engine was rebuilt 3,600 miles ago along with the carb.. The car is 100% restored. I have noticed some wet spots at times around the rear of the carb that seem to go away if I thighten some of the screws on the rear of the carb.. I have checked the timing, vacume etc... Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this problem? Could it be bad fuel? I do run 5 gallons of CAM2 (110 Octane) with every fill up of 93 octane pump gas. Thanks John.
