    windshield wiper motor

Please advise the best source for getting a 1963 wiper motor and washer restored for NCRS judging. Thank you, Kenn Carlson #721 suncountry corvettes@msn.com

    Re: windshield wiper motor

    Kenn,
There is not much to it, the aluminum casting is bare and the motor shell, bolts, rectangular cover, bushing cups, and motion arm are clear zinc plated. I assume the wiper is functional but that is covered in the repair manual and on Wilcox web site if not. Washer pieces are jobber available for repair.

The major issue with motor non function can be tied to the temp over ride points having oxidized. It is mounted in the base of the motor can. All bead blasting/polishing, disassembly, assembly, can be self done but sending out pieces for plating requires a metal plater. But even that could be done with an Eastwood kit.
