    LT1 Stripping

Does anyone know if the hood stripes are the same width in 1971? Or did they change to different widths at some point in the production year. The car in question was built in December of 1970. VIN 4365. Thanks.

Ken is right, and if you read the 1970-72 TIM&JG it will even give you an approximate serial number for the change.

We are doing great or what? Two questions in as many days that are answered in the TIM&JG. Don't you love when all your hard work is in vain?

Edit qadd: Changed AIM to TIM&JG. My bad guys, but I appreciate you supporting my frustration. The next beer is on me.

        Terry,
Better yet you get singled out as the only person who can answer for what is already in the AIM.

Please don't pick on Terry.I am trying to make Terry the only guy that has any info on 70/72 Corvettes Some people are not willing to buy the AIM or do not want to look it up. Some people need to have there hand held & do not want to look it up. Check the CF & you will see they want someone else to tell them if they should buy a car & what to pay. This is sort of like the housing mess a few years ago. Banks telling people what they can afford & not what they really can pay. I have heard people that had credit cards that they couldn't pay & say it's there fault because they shoud have not gave me the card. Not to worry though The goverment will now tell you everything you need to know & control every thing in yor life because we are too stupid to think for our selves. God help us.

            Ken,
If you think I was picking on Terry you are mistaken. My intent was exactly the opposite and I'm sure Terry knows that is what I meant. I just get a kick out of people that think that the seasoned veterans like Terry are the only people that know anything.

Can you dorks tell me if knock-off wheels were available in 72? I would look it up in the JG but, I'm sure it's wrong.

I am sure that after 1966 to 1972 they were bolt ons. Please see the NEW NCRS judging manual. After 1973 chrome bumpers were a option. If you have a question please email TERRY

I am glad Terry's hard work on his image has paid off and and he is now benefiting. He, unlike me, is willing to change for the better.

(Mike, a few weeks ago I was back in Ft. Wayne. I hardly recognized Concordia as it has developed all around it for miles. Coney island is still great. Ken, did you go to the auction in Auburn? I "assumed" you were back out west. I missed tenderloins at Brown Derby. We did see Max and Gina.)
