'61 FI Generator Pivot Bolt Sleeve Size Needed

I heard the belt squeaking to find that both lower pivot bolts for the generator along with the spacer sleeve were missing. Does anyone have the size of the spacer sleeve and bolts? The spacer sleeve looks like it might be around a half inch long. If someone can look at their FI and inform me of the parts needed for the lower pivots on the generator that would be great. Thanks!

61 FI used a 1102268 generator, and that generator had cast iron front and rear plates with holes sized for the bolts only. There was no rubber mount nor metal sleeve of any kind used on a 2268. The tach-drive units of that era used a 1102043 with large lower mount and rubber cushion with metal sleeve. Those are available through most aftermarket suppliers.

There is a 1/2'' gap between the rear generator mount and bracket that would allow the generator move back freely. Shouldn't there be a spacer there to keep the generator from moving back?

You have either a wrong generator or wrong bracket. There should not be any significant space there.

          Larry,

Do you know the GM part number of the bracket? I have several different original generator brackets from the late 50's - early 60's. I sold my 1961 Chev. Parts Catalog several years ago.
