red line tires

1967 convertible, i have had red lines on for about five years now. how do you clean the red line? I have tried simple green with not much luck. I was told to use a fine sanding sponge. What do you use? thanks george

I use some stuff call "Rub-O-Matic" rubber cleaner MFG ed my Tech. Its what you use to clean tire or tube before you put on a patch.
I squirt some on a shop towel rapped around my finger and clean the stripe only. Also works great to clean white letters on a tire.

I use "Bleche White" and a soapy Brillo pad and lots of water. Then I treat it with 303 Aerospace protectant.

Just use a tire cleaner & and a tire shine product to shine it.
