Early 68s do not have the grab handle. Later cars have it.

I think this is a matter of terminology. THe early cars have the handle -- and it is really not a seperate handle -- built into the door Panel. THere is no seperate handle on the early cars. Thanks for the picture becauswe it clarifies the situation. Now if someone had an early panel photo we would eb all set.

Have you considered having your originals restored rather than replacing them with something that will never be 100% correct?

Excellent point Floyd. If the panel is just cracked it can be repaired. There are folks, usually employed by used car dealers, who are in the business of fixing interior flaws. They are mobile traveling from car lot to car lot spiffing up used cars for resale. They can do a really remarkable job of fixing panels and upholstery. If there is a used car lot near you, ask who they use for this kid of work. These people usually do not advertise to the public, but work from word of mouth. At least that is how it is done in my neck of the woods -- but then I live in a large metropolitan area.

I would suggest you get the TIM&JG from the NCRS Store in Cicinatti, but the new 1968-69 manual has been waiting for printing and publication for a year. When you hear on this board that it is available I would suggest you get one.
