Does a New PW RegulatorArms Need Adjusting?

I have a new repro pw window regulator I'm using to add pw to my '69. Is it "normal" to have to bend the arms to get the window adjusted correctly? In a previous thread I expalined how I could't get my window adjusted correctly - it's slanted too far in not allowing the door to shut easily if at all. I've tripled checked everything and the only thing that I can see is the pw regulator appears to position the bottom of the window further out than the orginal manual regulator so I'm wondering if bending those arms is not a uncommon thing to have to do. I'm out of ideas!

Not with original regulators. I never had to bend one that I can remember.

This is a repro - looks like what you'd get from Corvette Central for example. It's a bit different from the original in detail.

I've taken everything apart again and put the original manual mechanisim in. Based on measurements against the manual mechanisim and my other door the window regulator does not seem to be my issue.
