    Help with Vendor Name

While at the NCRS National in San Diego last July, I bought two original S/S wiper "blades" (the things that hold the rubber refills) from a parts vendor, there in the show room. The problem is that when I finally got around to getting them polished this week, the polisher told me that one of the two blades has the end broken off and will be unusable.

So, I have no receipt and no contact information for the guy. He had quite a few items for sale and the parts were spread over many tables. Can anyone help me find the guy so that I can see whether he can help me?

        David Sokolowski.
I can help you with contact info Thursday at Frisco, or look him up in the members list here and pm him. He is a TDB user.

Clark - The supplier that Mike mentions is Pete Lindahl. Pete is here in Frisco so you should stop by his table and introduce yourself. He has attended our event for many years and is an expert on wipers, blades, keys, locks, switches, fuses, and more. See Pete's ad in our Welcome Booklet for the Regional.

Pete is the one that had the correct 1966 ignition switch I needed to pass my PV at last year's Texas Regional!

And he has helped me in many ways with my top flight too. A great guy to deal with as well.

Thanks, Dick and Don for the guy's name. Nice seeing you both this weekend at the 2012 NCRS Lone Star Regionals. I now have Mr. Sokolowski's phone number and will call him on Monday. I am just too tired and busy with the meet this weekend to call him now.

Tim, thanks for pointing me in the direction of Mr. Lindahl. I met him today, looking for a correct lock for my spare tire tub. The judge told me that my lock is for a 1966 (I think he told me). Mr. Lindahl looked at it and told me that it was for a '67 and later. He had at least two of them for a '65 and was offering one for $140 including the rubber boot. Since I didn't have enough cash with me and my checkbook was at home, I had to pass even though he told me that I could take them now and mail him a check later. Wow, what a trusting guy, but I did not feel comfortable leaving with something for which I had not yet paid.

I noticed the correct rubber wiper blades with "dots" that he also had but felt I should pass due to the expense just to recover one point. Same goes for the non-DOT flasher unit, etc. I am never going for a PV or a Duntov since my car is highly-optioned. I am perfectly happy with my recent National Top Flight.
