Re: '59 Front end damage; thoughts? w/ pictures
I just went throught this with my 1960. I good corvette fiberglass person can probably repair anything. I worked with the guy who did my major body work and painting and we decided that replacing the front end would end up with probably a push financially but in some areas, mine was worse that your. I.e. left front fender was a poor reproduction that was very thin and poorly bonded to the cowl surround and lower fender. So we decided to replace the entire front end.I would suggest you find someone to do the repairs that knows what they are doing and let them help you decide.by the way, I went with the individual correct pieces of the entire front end and not a one piece clip. That was a lot more expensive. DonDon Harris

Your 3rd picture looks like my 58 I repaired in a driveway at Ft Hood back in the late 60's , ugly . Mine was from a fender bender on leave that broke the driver side fender above the wheel well like yours , thought it might have been mine . A lot can be hiding under all that extra resin and paint , so I would let your shop make that determination when they strip it down . Since it will only be a driver you won't have to be as picky about the repairs as you would if you were having it judged
