    62 Speedometer

The speedometer looks like it reads correctly untill 35 mph and than it will not advance any higher.
Do you think it is just a lube issue?

Interesting they normally either do not work or jump around and make a lot of noise. Lubrication sure will not hurt and may fix the problem, while not a difficult task you do get to get familiar with the underside of the dash and the car.

      Tony,
I would start with disconnect the cable at both ends; remove the cable; clean the cable make sure it is ok (not cracked, frayed or bent); put 30 wt. oil down the cable tube from the top; lube the cable with heave red grease; install the cable; connect and go. Good luck.
