    67 Fuel Pump Question

My 67 SB has the latest AC-Delco service replacement fuel pump which no longer has the smaller AC logo on the side or any other markings. So in effect it looks like a generic non GM replacement. How do these fare in judging ? I just wanted the latest pump that would work with todays fuel.....

    John,

I can't answer your question about judging but if the inlet and outlet are configured like the 40433 original pump it's probably made by a company called Airtex.

      John,
Apply the CDCIF to the part. My estimate based on the deviations from original (stamping, logo, input fitting, out put thread fitting, missing ribs, different vent holes) At least 75%. Maybe more if other differences.

        Re: 67 Fuel Pump Question

I had a AC ink stamp made up and stamped it myself. Judges scratched their heads and took 2 pts for orig. SR for a comment, time before that took 2 on orig with comment AC logo NTP (sr), without the stamp it took a 4 pt deduct with sr comment. 2 Nationals and a Regional.
