    Re: Fuel pump

The TIM & JG says the L79 pump has the number 40083 stamped on the flange. The bottom section is stamped steel, cad dichromate and not the cast base with the AC.

I am looking for a correct one. I've not been able to determine why most of the ones that I see for sale, and a very few of those that are correct 40083 pumps, have the cast base. If you do a search on the part number 6440083 you should find my thread about this subject.
