I have a 67 427/400HP with power Glide tranny, I have the idle set at ~725-750 RPMs. Cold she runs perfect, starts right up and idles perfect until she gets warm, once warm the idle seems to stick at ~1100 and when it does decide to come back down to normal idle it wants to stall. If I keep my foot on the pedal she will stay running. The car still has points and I've checked the gap and they seem correct, I'm wondering if this my be a vacuum problem. Any suggestions I would be grateful, or if any one knows someone in Jacksonville fl. who can take a look I can use the help. Thanks for reading.

Re: 67 BB carb problems need some advice
Check for manifold vacuum leaks. Had a similiar problem and found the intake leaked upon heating up. I had painted the gasket surfaces prior to assy and the paint soften causing a leak. When the choke was on OR the rpm's were high enough the "leak" was overcome by throttle position air volume.
To test this just squirt a small amount of water along the manifold gasket with the engine running and see if there is a temporary change in RPM.....
If you have a vacuum gauge you should see an increase in vacuum if the water check works (while the water is present)- Top
