    1967 sales literature questions

on the other Corvette site yet again the debate of 67s small blocks with big block hoods came up. while I think it never happened, and I asked for any type official paper work from GM saying you could get it or anything else. someone sent me this scanned picture of what he claims is from the 1967 sales book from a dealership.

on that page is list the optional 327/350 with a "special hood" amongst other things.

my question is when was this book published for the dealers and was it revised doing the model year?

You will notice that it is the description of the whole L79 package. We all know that the hood was not supplied on L79. So the hood was not installed on L79 in regular production. The paper was obviously printed well before the model release in time for dealers to order. Whether they intended the hood on L79 or it was just a mistake, we dont know, but the paper is obviously wrong.

I agree. I beleave there were many options that were changed from the advanced option list sent to dealers. Early order forms listed 427/425 HP for 1966 & for a while it was changed to 450 & then back. The early forms for 1967 listed 427/425 HP & was changed to 435. 1970 a LS-6 was offered but never built.

That's page 14 of the dealer album. The dealer album was printed much in anticipation of the new model year. That would be very early pre-production misinformation.
