'63 frosted hubcaps

I've recently viewed a 1963 SWC S.N. ~3800, documented as an original one owner car, that had the painted hubcaps...is it plausable, that the frosted caps could have been applied to a car that late in producton? Thanks

Perhaps the hubcaps are the service replacements which I believe were frosted.

I think the frosted caps may have been used to at least the 3800 VIN range, and possibly a bit further. I don't remember for sure though.

Both the frosted and non frosted caps were available in service. I think the frosted caps eventually discontinued and then only the polished caps were available.
