Shucks, mine has to wait until next July 2013, but it has been my baby since delivery in August 63. Talk about a member of the family!

Congratulations to your Vette for it's surviving this long, and to you for your befriending it.

Congratulations on the Birthday. My birthday happens next year.

How many of you 63 owners will be bringing the car to the National, Year of the 63, as a Display Car? I plan on having my 63 AC coupe there.

        Let us know!

          Congrats Norm!
Are you going to paint it back to Saddle Tan as a 50th present?

Harry, I hope to make the 850 mile drive to Hampton along with 2 other '63 owners from the Quebec chapter.

Probably not only beacause of the $$$$ involved to do it right. I would have to re-do the interior as well or I would not sleep at night. The colour on it is 1974 GM Ultramarine Blue, which I actually love but hate the paint job. It's a 50-50 paint job, looks good at 50 feet or 50 MPH. The only good thing is that a stone chip does not break my heart.

The whole story is that the woman that owned the car before me had a friend of her son, who was supposedly a painter, paint it in his home garage as she did not like the "Gold" colour. He also replaced the seat covers, sun visors, and console with dark blue, the carpeting with used black, and everything else was done with interior dye. The two owners previous to her, when I contacted them, both said that the thing they most remembered about the car was its remarkable tan paint job. The guy that had the car before that, who was owner #3, was the last U.S. owner. He told me that he and a friend spent hours and hours stripping the car, painting it, and finishing it and it was absolutely perfect when it was done.

            Oh well, maybe one day................
