    Odd stamping on 66 frame

    Tonight I saw a 66 small block frame that had a stamped 10 with a stamped circle around it. This stamping was on the underside of the frame drivers side in front of the second cross member. I was wandering if this was a repo frame? It was very nice looking frame, and on a top flight car. Sound familiar?

      Have seen the stamping several times on factory frames. I understand no one seems to know what is meant by stamping.....factory frame however.

          You should also see the symbol on each side of the corner gussets on the 3rd crossmember.

                      Hi:
                      Enclosed is a picture of the circle 10 stamping on the corner gusset. I have a thread open that shows other stampings and such on my current restoration.

                                  From what I have just read is it possible that the stamp is some sort of a weld inspection stamp?
                                  It seems to appear near frame weld areas.
                                  Just a thought.

                                              My 63 has a factory frame supposed to be the last one @ gm oshawa ontario.. Purchase in 1975 .. It has the same stamps...
