      George,
The seminar covered many subjects such "What saved the Corvette from extinction" in it's early days.
John Hinckleys presentation on "St Louis Mid Year Assembly Process" was excellent .
David Bouroughs presented information concerning "proving the history" of a vehicle, a service which he is involved in.
A panel of early GM people (also contract people) provided a very interesting perspective on the early engineering, design and racing involvement.
Terry Michaelis was a great host and gathered a collection of early Chevrolet Engineer cars (CE) (current owners were also present) and copies of GM documentation was also provided.
The opportunity to personally interface with the presenters and guests was definately a plus.
I'm sure I missed some things but there was a lot to take in.

See George, there are some things to stay north for during the Fall/Winter -- besides the lovely weather.

I can't resist asking, did you discuss the distinctions in detail between "numbers match", "we think the real deal" , and "the real deal"??......

            No numbers stuff.

Mostly history of the Corvette and the people involved in its development and production.

Although David Bouroughs "Prove It" presentation discussed was it a race car?, did someone famous own it? and similar situations along with the process that the "Prove It" group uses to answer the question.

Good they steered clear of the controversial stuff, not enough time for all that I'm sure.

                Terry,

I'm in Destin, FL as you know and my bride would not let me drive 920 miles to Napoleon, OH. Looks like I missed a good Meet, for sure; but, I"ll be at our LA Meet in Long Beach this weekend.

I have my just-finished Chevelle in a meet up here in Rosemont IL this weekend, and I expect I will get to look up close and personal with a few early C3s as well. Enjoy the LA meet George.

Long Beach, California? Tell me more. I know nothing about it.

Re: Thanks for a great seminar.

My first seminar, enjoyed it very much.

While I was registering , I asked if there was someone in the gathering who could tell me if the '61 firewall piece I brought was from a fuelie.

One gentleman said he'd look at it.

We went out to my car trunk and looked it over.. he showed me 3 areas that identified it as a fuelie piece.

He then looked over my two 380 FI units to see if there was any sign of a VIN - no luck.

I thanked him and asked for his name..

                        Terry Michaelis.

From Heart of Ohio and I am sure the Michigan Chapters we would like to thank all that come and also the speaker who shared a lot with us. Talking with Terry Michaelis we want to do more things like this in the future, as we get things set up we will try and let every one know THANKS AGAIN
