I know a lot of our members own older NCRS cars but also have a newer car. Where have you guys found the best deal on Michelin Run flats for a 2007 Z06. I thought repo tires were expensive but I am learning that a newer car tires can be expensive also.

The best deal I could find in Houston on Michelins for my '03 Anniversary Edition was at Discount Tire. It's fun watching the installer muscle a wide run flat onto the wheel! I called a day in advance to make sure they had them in stock. Tim- Top

Re: 207 Z06 Tires
When I went tire shopping for my C6 (Z51, not Z06) I went to all of the usual places on the internet as well as some local tire distributors (who I wouldn't trust with my car anyway......). Believe it or not, I ended up getting them from the dealer that services my C6. A set of four new Goodyear Supercar tires mounted on the car came out to be about $100 more then buying them on line. Worth it to me as I didn't need to get in the middle. Just drop the car off and pick it up.
If your local Chevy dealer does a lot of Corvette work like mine does, you may want to ask there. You might be surprised, I know I was.......

Re: 207 Z06 Tires
I have seen them muscle those run flats on my Z06. I live only 100 miles from a Tire Rack warehouse (South Bend Indiana). Two sets of Goodyear F1 Super Car tires and now Michelin SP run flats all from Tire Rack. The cost of the tires is not what drives me. The ability to remove and install and balance them (latest Hunter Road Force machine and someone who knows how to use it) without damage to the car or the wheels means more to me than the cost of the tires. The guys/gals at Tire Rack know how to do it. I watched, and I couldn't find a flaw in what they did. There are no air driven impact wrenches in their shop in South Bend. The lug nuts come off by hand, and go back on and are torqued by hand. I just love finding car people who are as anal as I am. Quality work is priceless.
Full disclosure: When I first got the Z06 I got hooked up with them for some pictures of the car (400 miles) with some Italian rims on it ($6000 for the set of wheels - no tires, just the rims). They used the pictures in their advertising for a while. They spent the morning taking pictures and measurements of the brakes while I got the two bit tour of the joint. If you drive by on the Indiana toll road you know how huge that place is. We had a cart to tour in. They cut me a deal on the stock appearing wheels and the first set of tires in return for the use of the car. The tour hooked me on the quality of their service. Even though I had been buying tires from them for the DDs for years I didn't know they have a regular tire shop at the warehouse. Of course I can mount and balance the DD tires myself, so that is not a big deal. Oh and you can order them and make an appointment for the work by phone. No issues with tire availability.Terry- Top

Re: 207 Z06 Tires
When the OEM tires on my 07 Z06 went away, I used a local shop that specializes in resto mods to get the Michelins and install them, mostly because he had the right equipment, the right reputation and he was local. I think the four tires set me back $2K. I don't know if that's a good price or not, but as a trusted mechanic once told me, "There is fast, there is good and there is cheap. You can have any two." I picked fast and good.1966 L79 Convertible. Milano Maroon

Thomas is on onto something here...Your local Chevrolet dealer currently has a 30 day tire match program and can match an advertised price if you bring the ad in.
There is also an up to $80 rebate on select Goodyear/Dunlop/Hankook/Michelin tires- Top
