Rechroming windshield trim

The top and side trim of the windshield frame on my 65 ragtop are pitted and need to rechromed. A couple of questions:

1. Are these stainless or chrome ?

2. Anyone have any recommendations for a chromer ? I am in south florida, but can ship anywhere.

If your speaking of exterior, it's stainless steel. Dependent on depth of the pits may have to move on better piece(s). In my experiences one can sand most blems out then start the buffing process. However if pits are too deep only so much material can be removed before buffing to a shine.

Both the exterior and interior moldings are polished stainless steel, which was then flash-chromed (clear) to protect the underlying stainless steel substrate from oxidation. If you're having them refurbished, the remaining flash chrome has to be removed first, then the stainless can be repaired/polished, and they should be flash-chromed again to protect them and provide that characteristic "icy-blue" stainless appearance.
