    correct shade of black for the ignition coil

    restoring a original 264 coil for a 67 427/390 non TI. what shade of black is correct for the coil. also what is the best method for cleaning up the Bakelite on the top. thanks

    Keith, my opinion would be a semi gloss black, I did my 72 with a satin black and was told at judging it was more of a semi gloss black. clean up the coil top with some mineral spirts and a old nylon tooth brush.
