    C1 (1960) what is this part?

    Attached is a picture from the 1960 AIM showing the 4 speed transmission support bracket, bolts and a part that is labeled part number 3754698 Wire. What is this wire part? is it necessary? I don't have one and not finding it on any of the parts houses.

    It's threaded through the heads of the mounting bolts, to insure they do not turn loose. Somewhere, I have broken sample pcs.

          Interesting, I didn't think GM used ant safety wire in Corvettes or full size cars.
