    Restoration of '67 windshield trim

May I ask for advice on who might be a good choice to polish and restore the windshield trim on my roadster. I have contacted Dave at Classic but he seems to recently retired. Any suggestions would be welcome

    Thank you
    Jim

    James,
Buy a buffer, some buffing wheels and compound sticks and have at it. There are a lot of info on how to do and where to buy on the internet. Much more rewards doing it yourself...........

Oh yes, you will need sand papers from 500 to 2000 grit too.

...and don't forget the file to level off the high spots, and a body hammer with a pick helps for the dents too.

Jim, if you look in the archives there is a lot of discussion on who can do this if you don't wish to. Be aware that your trim has a flash chrome plating on it, which will be removed by buffing and polishing, and you will need a plater to duplicate this if you wish to be original. Platers buff and polish everything they plate as part of thier process.

Paul, are there any platers that will/can duplicate the flash chrome of the original?

I use M & P Refinishing in Jeannette, PA. Just sent them every stick of stainless off a 66 roadster. Their number is (724) 527-6360
