I have a chance to purchase "original" rims for 1966, which I need. What markings or numbers should I look for? Where is date code located.

Re: 1966 Rims
Walter,
Here's a pretty good thread on your topic:

The GM # for the wheels is in the thread. Enter the GM # into the search function if you want more info.

Re: 1966 Rims
Walter, the dates are visible when the tire is not mounted to the wheel. The date stamp is located next to the Kelsey-Hayes stamped logo on the inside of the wheel. If you look not too far from the valve stem indentations on the inside of the outer rim you will see both stamps. Some also have " GM " stamped on one of the spider legs on the outside of the wheel.- Top

Re: 1966 Rims
Here's a couple of shots: the first shows 15 x 5-1/2 JK, then 12 (upside down on this wheel -- month of December), then 64 (ie. 1964). Below on right is Kelsey Hayes symbol, to the left of that is the wheel manufacturing association (or something similar) stamping.
The second pic shows (on this wheel anyway) the relation between the interior stampings and the wheel stem. This one is dated '65' and '3'. The two other stampings are below but difficult to see, as they're applied on a curved surface.
