C3 -Setting Spring Tension on PW Regulator

    Hi,

I got a used pw regulator for an early '69 and the spring is not mounted on it. I put it on and rotated the regulator arm around once to put tension on it but I don't know how many times it should turned - assuming I'm even going about this correctly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jack

Jack,I don't think that you have to wind the that much, Use a 5/16 bolt and nut with flat washers. the regulator is wound until you come to the first hole in arm then nut and bolt the mount bracket and the hole in arm together to hole while you install the motor ( you kind of rest the the arm against the bolt on the bracket). Watch your fingers once the spring is wound if notcareful you can hurt youself.

Thanks Edward. That's pretty much what I did so maybe I'm set.
