Automatic transmission to engine bolts?

What style of bolts are used to attach the THM 400 to a 427 engine in a 69' corvette.
Also need part # if known.

They were standard hex head bolts of GM #179842. They were 3/8-16 X 1-3/8", phosphate finished, and of GM 280M material grade (SAE grade 5, 3 lines).

So, how come standard hex head bolts were used for attaching the aluminum case THM-400 but flanged hex head bolts were used to attach the aluminum bellhousing for manual transmission applications? That's a good question.

According to my 1971 AIM no washers are listed and I have not seen washers on original cars as far as I could tell. Maybe someone else has seen it differently.
